Food Revolution Day - Saturday, May 19th 11am to 1pm Bidwell Farmer's Market Picnic

I know this is last moment, but if you will be in Buffalo tomorrow and are looking for a fun food related activity, then consider joining me and others tomorrow at 11am at the Bidwell Farmer's Market to have an impromptu picnic! Bring a blanket, water for washing produce, plates and utensils and then share your just purchased fruits and veggies in a spontaneous picnic! We will be setting up directly across from the market. You will have to cross Elmwood and there will be a sign to let you know where we are to meet. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Located in beautiful Bidwell Parkway in the heart of the Elmwood Village, the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market is considered by many to be the best market of its type in Western New York. In fact, Artvoice recognized the market in its most recent "Best of Buffalo" issue and, judging from the ever-increasing crowds, it's a sentiment shared by many.

The Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market is a producer-only market, meaning that all our vendors grow or produce what they sell themselves—absolutely no reselling is allowed. In this way, our patrons know they are dealing directly with source—no middlemen, no compromises. They also know they're helping to create a healthy and diverse local economy.

The Market is open every Saturday from mid-May to mid-December. Vendors are open for business from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Thank you to all the folks (roughly 20, kids and moms, young couples, single older adults - a great mix of people) that stopped by to share an apple and a horror story of school food with me!
